Supervisor Toshihiro Nagoshi and Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama of the Yakuza series have confirmed that the next game in the series is headed to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
Speaking to Famitsu magazine this week, the duo confirmed that the game will not be a spin-off, but they also stopped short of announcing whether it will be a fresh installment or not, and did not reveal the release date either. Interestingly, Nagoshi and Yokoyama also made a mention of their target audience, stating that they’re aiming for the game to be well-received by the male audience.
The new Yakuza game will feature urban environments and the developers are currently holding auditions to select people who will play the in-game role of city dwellers.
